Arrest made in fatal San Jose cold case stabbing

(KRON) — Police in San Jose announced Wednesday that they have made an arrest in connection to a 2019 cold case homicide investigation. The suspect, now 22 years old, was a teenager at the time of the deadly stabbing.

A man was stabbed at least once during a fight involving three suspects on the night of Oct. 6, 2019, in the 1500 block of Alum Rock Avenue. Emergency responders transported the victim to a local hospital where he died.

The three suspects “were last seen running westbound on Alum Rock Avenue over the Highway 101 overpass,” SJPD said. Detectives at the time were unable to identify any of the suspects and the case went cold.
