Motorcyclist dies in San Jose vehicle collision

SAN JOSE, Calif. (KRON) — An investigation is underway following a deadly collision involving a motorcyclist and a vehicle in San Jose Tuesday afternoon, according to police.

Pedestrian struck and killed by 38 Geary bus Tuesday morning, SFMTA says

The San Jose Police Department said units were in the area of Meridian Avenue and Blackford Lane to probe the crash, which occurred at 1:21 p.m.

The motorcyclist was taken to a local hospital where they succumbed to their injuries, said SJPD.

It is not yet clear what led to the incident or if drugs or alcohol played factors.

Meridian Avenue was shut down in both directions from Minnesota Avenue to Hamilton Avenue following the crash before reopening around 9 p.m…
