The Milpitas Police Department held a DUI and Driver’s License Checkpoint on Great Mall Parkway near S. Abel Street over the weekend. A total of 1,141 vehicles passed through, and 477 drivers were screened. The operation led to one DUI arrest and several citations for unlicensed and suspended drivers.
This checkpoint was part of ongoing efforts to improve roadway safety and was supported by the Traffic Safety Unit, patrol officers, and professional staff.
