Armed threat suspect arrested near Curtner Ave

Around 5:51 PM, a person near Edith Morley Park reported that a man in a white panel van threatened them with what looked like a gun before driving away. Officers soon found a matching van entering a storage facility on Curtner Ave. The driver, Joshua Koloditch, age 46, stayed inside while police kept watch using a drone.

Police set up a perimeter and tried many times to talk with him. With help from the Santa Clara Police Department, officers used de-escalation methods and later a noise flash device. Around 8:30 PM, Koloditch came out but tried to move back toward the van. A K-9 was used to make the arrest safely. He was treated at the scene, taken to a hospital, and arrested for several charges including brandishing a weapon, criminal threats, and drug offenses…
