Early on March 29, 2026, San José Police responded to a two-car crash near Curtner Avenue and the southbound Highway 87 offramp. A 2022 Honda Accord driven by a juvenile male struck a 2003 Chevy Malibu turning onto eastbound Curtner. The Malibu’s driver, an adult man, was pronounced dead at the scene. The Honda’s driver and his adult female passenger were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say the juvenile driver was suspected of driving under the influence and has been booked into Santa Clara County Juvenile Hall for felony DUI and vehicular manslaughter. This marks San José’s 10th traffic death of 2026…
