UC Fremont, the first new University of California campus in 20 years, is set to open on April 1, 2026. It took much time to plan, build, and open California’s newest public research university of the 21st century. But nonetheless, the blood, sweat, and tears of the Center for Students in Higher Education (CSHE) went into this daunting task, leaving the hopes and dreams of the future of Silicon Valley into this promising institution.
Located at the heart of Fremont, right next to Lake Elizabeth in place of Aqua Adventure. UC Fremont is expected to focus heavily on all STEM majors, aligning with the demands of Silicon Valley. The UC administration is also proud to introduce several “modern majors” (one of them being ‘AI Ethics’). I mean, can it get any better than that?
