Loved ones have provided an update on the search for Amy Hillyard, a Bay Area coffeeshop owner who mysteriously vanished over a week ago.
Hillyard, who is a co-owner of the popular Farley’s coffeeshops in Oakland and San Francisco, left her home on the 500 block of Radnor Road around 2 p.m. on March 25. The 52-year-old is believed to have departed on foot.
Her unexpected disappearance prompted a huge response from friends and family, who have relentlessly canvassed the area since she vanished. On Thursday, Oakland police and the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office search and rescue team searched Skyline Gate, a hiking trail in the Oakland hills.
