93-year-old Fremont man accused of killing wife of nearly 60 years released to senior home

After spending three months in jail, a 93-year-old Fremont man accused of killing his wife of nearly 60 years has been released to a Sacramento County senior living facility.

Richard Hocking is charged with murder and use of a firearm in the death of 86-year-old Patricia β€œPatty” Hocking on Jan. 3. Hocking allegedly turned himself in by calling 911 shortly after the shooting, and was held in Santa Rita Jail until Friday, according to court records.
