Crash involving big rig, Jeep shuts down lanes on I-238 in East Bay

(KRON) — Two southbound lanes were blocked Monday afternoon after a crash on Highway 238 in the East Bay, according to the California Highway Patrol’s Hayward division. The crash was reported around 4 p.m., involving a Jeep and a big rig.

The No. 2 and No. 3 lanes are blocked in the area north of the Mission Boulevard off-ramp due to the overturned truck, CHP said. The vehicles involved were occupied by solo drivers, respectively.

The Alameda County Fire Department released video of the aftermath of the crash as the big rig was flipped to its side.
