7 San Jose Late-Night Kitchens for Workers, Students, and Concertgoers (2026)

The downtown San Jose late-night map shrank in 2025. Iguanas Burritozilla closed for good on July 27, 2025 after 32 years, per Hoodline reporting. Mama Kin shut its SoFA District kitchen in early 2025 per San Jose Spotlight. Kronos Mediterranean — once a 3 a.m. gyro stop on 4th Street — is marked closed on Yelp as of late 2025. Original Joe’s, the historic 1 a.m. anchor, now stops at 10 p.m. Sunday–Thursday and 11 p.m. Friday–Saturday per OpenTable.

So the post-9 p.m. options are fewer than the older listicles suggest. The seven kitchens below are still running real food — not just open bars — and each has at least one current outside source backing it. They’re sorted by who they’re built for: post-concert downtown, SJSU students, and after-shift workers across East San Jose and the Santa Clara El Camino corridor.

A note on hours: every line below is current per the venue’s site or Yelp as of early 2026. Late-night kitchens drift. Past midnight, call before driving.
