(KRON) — A woman was killed in a crash on Vasco Road near Dublin Thursday night, the California Highway Patrol confirmed to KRON4. CHP officers responded at around 11:20 p.m. to a major injury crash on Vasco in unincorporated Alameda County.

The crash occurred at the intersection of Vasco Road and Old Vasco Road, the CHP said. According to law enforcement officials, a preliminary investigation indicated that a Chevrolet Cobalt was heading north on Vasco when it collided with a GMC Canyon pickup truck making a left turn from Old Vasco onto southbound Vasco.
The woman driving the Cobalt suffered major injuries and was transported to an area hospital where she later died. The occupants of the pickup also suffered injuries and were transported to the hospital.
