MONROVIA, CA – The Monrovia Police Department, supported by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau, has made a significant breakthrough in a homicide investigation stemming from an incident on February 3, 2024. A suspect was taken into custody on the same day, marking a swift response to the early morning shooting death that occurred around 1:30 a.m. on the 100 block of E. Olive Avenue in the city of Monrovia.
Details of the shooting were limited, but it was confirmed that the victim, whose identity has not yet been released, was transported to a local area hospital following the incident and was pronounced deceased shortly thereafter.
The Monrovia Police Department and the LA County Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau are currently handling the ongoing investigation. No additional information about the suspect or the circumstances surrounding the shooting has been made available at this time.
