In an event that highlights the ongoing struggle for safety on the streets, a man suffered a gunshot wound late Sunday evening. According to the LBPD, yesterday, at about 1:02 a.m., officers arrived at a local hospital in response to a shooting incident that had occurred earlier around 9:00 p.m. near South Street and Paramount Boulevard. The victim, a male adult, transported himself to the hospital four hours after being shot in the lower body. The assailants had vacated the scene ahead of the police arrival, and the investigation regarding their identities and motives remains underway.
