Near-complete tally shows wins for library measures A and B

The latest results of the voting on Measures A and B before Huntington Beach voters confirmed what early returns indicated: the city council’s actions regarding the municipal library system were not popular.

According to the Orange County Registrar of Voters, as of 5 p.m. on Friday, two voter-initiated measures A & B were each winning by wide margins despite opposition by members of the city council.

Measure A was winning by 58.41 percent (34,750 votes) voting yes to 41.59 percent (24,748 no votes)…
