Costa Mesa is set to welcome a fresh twist on Japanese cuisine with the upcoming opening of Sandoitchi. This will be the brand’s second brick-and-mortar location, showing that the concept’s popularity is growing all over the country. City records show it will be located at 562 W. 19th St.
A concept that’s originally from Dallas, locals might recognize the name because Sandoitchi has done national pop-ups all over the US in the last few years. It was founded in 2020 during the pandemic, traveling and quickly gaining a devoted following nationally. It has even had appearances at high-profile events such as Coachella and the State Fair of Texas.
“Though we’re based in Texas, Orange County has always felt like a second home for Sandoitchi since we’ve been part of so many events across Southern California over the past several years.
