A Metro worker was struck by a train passing through the downtown Long Beach station Wednesday, leaving him with non-life-threatening injuries, according to authorities.
The man was struck at about 10:40 a.m. on First Street just west of Pine Avenue, according to the Long Beach Police Department.
He was taken to a hospital by Long Beach Fire Department personnel and Metro was providing support to him and his family. An update on the employee’s condition was not immediately available…
