Road rage shooting sparked by minor traffic collision in East Long Beach, police say

A man suffered life-threatening gunshot wounds in Long Beach in an apparent road rage shooting.

The shooting was reported at about 10:55 a.m. Saturday on Palo Verde Avenue at East Los Santos Drive, which is between Atherton Street and Stearns Drive, according to Long Beach Police Department spokesperson Jordan McGinley.

“The preliminary investigation indicates that the male adult victim and a male adult suspect were involved in a minor traffic collision, and the victim led the suspect to an alley where a shooting occurred,” McGinley said…
