Construction underway on pipeline, treatment facility

Construction is now underway on the pipeline and treatment facility that make up the Carpinteria Advanced Purification Project, marking the latest milestone in a partnership between the Carpinteria Valley Water District and the Carpinteria Sanitary District to bolster the community’s long-term water supply.

Pipeline construction began Monday, June 29, and will initially take place along Linden Avenue and Nipomo Drive before continuing north along the project alignment. Construction also has begun on the Advanced Water Purification Facility at the existing Carpinteria Sanitary District Wastewater Treatment Facility.

According to the water district, nearby residents and businesses will receive written notification before work begins in their area…
