SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – Happy first day of fall! A warming trend begins today and the Central Coast can expect peak heating temperatures by Wednesday with temperatures 5 to 10 degrees above average.
Today, the coastal areas will wake up to a thin sheet of marine layer, bringing crisp air for a couple of hours. Winds will shift to offshore, so the marine layer will evaporate quickly, allowing the warm sunshine to prevail.
