SANTA YNEZ VALLEY, Calif. (KEYT) – Another piece of a multi-phase trail project has opened in the Santa Ynez Valley.
It is the newest addition to the Carina Dee Velazquez Memorial Path along Refugio Road.
It was named in honor of the 15-year-old Santa Ynez Valley High student who in 2015 was struck and killed by a vehicle while walking across Highway 246 near Refugio Road after an after-school activity, just one day shy of her 16th birthday…
