Tuesday’s Top Prep Performers: Local teams clinch league championships

Highlights from Tuesday in high school sports:

SOFTBALL

  • Lea Tapia allowed one run on one hit while striking out five in four innings, Jadyn Claycamp allowed one hit while striking out three in three scoreless innings for the save, Jadalynn Sovey went 2 for 3 with a triple and four RBIs, Angelina Apodaca was 2 for 2 with two walks and two runs scored, Delaney Vazquez went 2 for 4, and Sophia Valencia was 1 for 4 with two RBIs as Camarillo (19-4, 7-0) clinched the outright Coastal Canyon League title with a 6-1 win over Simi Valley .
  • Ilove’a Brittingham went 3 for 4 with three home runs and four RBIs, Lily Knox hit a solo homer, Sienna Reynolds allowed five hits and a run while striking out five in five innings, and Emmy Davis pitched two scoreless innings as Oaks Christian (19-4, 8-2) secured the Marmonte League title for the third straight season with a 5-1 victory over Westlake (16-7, 6-4). The Warriors finished third in league.

  • Amaya Del Olmo had a grand slam and three-run homer to finish with eight RBIs, Briona Ferdman went 5 for 5 with a triple and six RBIs, Mia Gomez was 2 for 2 with a homer, two RBIs and four walks, Rylee Redmond went 3 for 3 with a double and an RBI, and Claire Heisinger was 3 for 4 with four RBIs as Agoura (11-7, 7-3) finished second in the Marmonte League with a 25-7, five-inning win over Calabasas .
  • Victoria Masters pitched a two-hit shutout with eight strikeouts, Claire Kirby had a hit and an RBI, and Morgan Casillas went 2 for 3 to lead Thousand Oaks to a 1-0 victory over Newbury Park in a Marmonte League game. The Lancers (14-12, 4-6) finished fifth in league. Taylor Cook allowed five hits and one run while striking out four in six innings for the Panthers (18-5, 5-5), who finished fourth in league.
  • Leea Martinez was 2 for 3 with two RBIs, Hallie Barlow had a double and two RBIs, and Azaria Aguilar and Rachel Godoy each went 2 for 4 as St. Bonaventure (18-2-1, 6-1) defeated Grace Brethren 9-6 to forge a two-way tie for first place with one game left in Tri-Valley League play. Ava DePew was 2 for 3 with a homer and two RBIs, Lexi Bower went 2 for 4 with two doubles and an RBI, Cam Kenny was 2 for 3 with two RBIs, and Grace Maguire went 2 for 3 with two doubles for the Lancers (16-2-1, 6-1). St. Bonaventure hosts Foothill Tech and Grace Brethren plays at Santa Clara on Thursday to end the regular season.
  • Aleh Martínez went 2 for 3 with four RBIs, Sophia Romero was 4 for 4, Bela Nava went 3 for 3 with an RBI, and Miranda Williams, Sara Briones, Sophia Castorena and Alyssa Zaragoza each had two RBIs to lead third-place Santa Clara (9-12, 4-4) to a 15-2, five-inning win over Bishop Diego in a Tri-Valley League game.
