Famous Danish-Inspired Village Solvang to Transform into California’s Famous Christmas Town

The countdown to the holidays has begun, and Solvang, California’s beloved “Christmas town,” is ready to dazzle visitors with its annual Julefest celebration.

Starting Nov. 29 through Jan. 5, the charming Danish-inspired village in the Santa Ynez Valley will transform into a winter wonderland. The festivities kick off with a spectacular light and music show at Solvang Park. Every night from 5 to 9 p.m., a 10-minute light show will sync with classic Christmas tunes, creating a magical atmosphere for all to enjoy.

In addition to the dazzling lights, Solvang’s citywide scavenger hunt invites guests to search for the town’s Solvang Nisser—mischievous Danish gnomes hidden around town.

It’s the perfect way to experience a Copenhagen Christmas right here in California’s wine country.
