IRVINE, Calif. – Junior Samantha Banos was named this week’s Athlete of the Week by The Big West for her two dual meet results against Cal State Bakersfield and Hawai’i. In the Gauchos first dual of the week Banos won every event she was a part of. She opened up with a win in the 100 yard butterfly with a time of 55.82. After that she helped two relay teams to two first place finishes. She later won her fourth event in the 100 freestyle with a time of 51.99.
