Burglar Buddies Busted For storage theft–And One Was A Tenant

A man and woman were arrested on May 7 in Ventura, California in connection with numerous break-ins at a Camarillo StorQuest storage facility on North Lewis Road. They are accused of burglarizing units and stealing a utility trailer, authorities said. Deputies with the Camarillo station had been called out at least five times due to thefts at the location.

Using surveillance video and information from witnesses, investigators tied the thefts to a female tenant at the facility and a male companion. Detectives executed a search warrant of the woman’s storage unit and found multiple stolen items. Camarillo detectives also executed a search warrant on the Ventura apartment where the pair was staying and found more stolen property from the storage facility.

The woman, 46, of Thousand Oaks, is facing multiple charges, including conspiracy to commit a crime, burglary, and the unlawful taking of a vehicle. The man, 43, of Coachella, is facing charges for conspiracy to commit a crime and unlawful taking of a vehicle. He was also wanted on five felony out-of-county warrants, sheriff’s officials said…
