National Weather Service Warns Against Hot Temperatures and High Winds
Interior valleys, including Santa Ynez and Antelope Valleys, will experience extremely high temperatures that exceed 100°F. Coastal regions, on the other hand, will experience milder weather conditions thanks to the influence of the marine layer.
Tuesday, June 17, 2025, is expected to be the warmest day of the week. Starting Thursday, the region will experience a slight dip in temperature. Moreover, the NWS says a coastal eddy will form midweek, causing morning fog and low clouds in Los Angeles and Ventura counties. However, the Inland region will remain clear and dry for the most part.
Typical gusty sundowner winds are also forecast for the south of Santa Barbara County and the I-5 corridor. However, these winds will peak only on Monday and Tuesday evenings.
The NWS also stated the possibility of Gale winds for outer coastal waters from Monday afternoon through early Wednesday…
