Santa Barbara has a new American diner in its ever-growing food scene. The Nugget Bar & Grill, a saloon-style eatery offering classic American food, has opened its doors at 892 Linden Avenue in Carpinteria. The space was formerly occupied by Señor Frog’s.

The Carpinteria location aims to serve both longtime fans of the brand and new visitors in the coastal community. The Nugget first opened in Summerland around 1970 and has since expanded to Goleta and now Carpinteria. The new outlet is owned and operated by Cindy Catteno, daughter of Summerland Nugget owner Bob Montgomery.
The restaurant has a selection of steaks, sandwiches, fresh seafood, fried chicken and other classic American dishes. The new outlet in Carpinteria is also dog-friendly and offers patio dining for those looking to dine outdoors.
Their infamous prime rib dinner will be on offer throughout their Prime Rib Nights on Friday and Saturday, starting at 4 pm.
