Santa Barbara Man Convicted of Assaulting CHP Officer During Ventura DUI Arrest

A Santa Barbara man has been convicted of assaulting a California Highway Patrol (CHP) officer during a suspected DUI arrest in Ventura County.

Jesse Andrew Mendoza, 20 of Santa Barbara, was convicted by a Ventura County jury on August 15, 2025, for charges stemming from a 2024 DUI arrest.
