Montecito steakhouse Lucky’s is set to open a new outpost in the Arts District. The news was first reported by digital publication Santa Barbara; more recently, What Now reported that a liquor license was acquired for the new location on Mateo Street. An opening date has not been announced but initial signage is up.
The first Lucky’s Steakhouse opened in the tony Montecito in 2000, taking over the historic Montecito bungalows. The restaurant attracts a star-studded crowd, including Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex. In 2020, Lucky’s expanded to Malibu right before COVID-19 restrictions impacted Los Angeles, and it later opened for full dine-in service in 2021. In the years since, Lucky’s has expanded to New York City and is developing a location in the Hamptons.
Although the menu has not been announced yet, Angelenos can likely expect a menu similar to the other Lucky’s locations with filet mignon, chopped salad, grilled artichoke, and more steakhouse classics…
