Clearing Saturday, rain chances next week

SANTA BARBARA COUNTY, Calif. – We will be clearing out from the wet weather system for the last weekend of summer.

Rainfall totals rose to near 1/2 inch in the Santa Maria Valley where overnight showers fell Thursday. Light drizzle near Santa Barbara kept rainfall amounts near 1/10th. Mountain areas in Santa Barbara County received more, closer to 1/4th. These rainfall amounts are from Post Tropical Cyclone Mario which began to impact our area on Wednesday night through early Friday.
