Last April I wrote that The Cookie Plug dessert destination, that opened in February 2024 at 918 State Street, had been told by the City of Santa Barbara that their long-term lease is no longer valid because the city leased the space to Metropolitan Theatre Corp which entered bankruptcy. The eatery closed about a month later. I just received this update to share with you:
