Goleta Residents Invited to Lead and Participate in New Parks and Recreation Programs

The City of Goleta is offering a new opportunity for local individuals, organizations, and businesses to participate in its Parks and Recreation Contract Camps and Program. The program aims to increase recreational, educational, and social activities, with a focus on youth and senior residents in Goleta. The city is seeking established community partners to provide contract-based camps and programs at city facilities, parks, and other designated spaces throughout the year.

Justin Wilkins, Parks and Recreation Manager, said the city values working with local experts to provide a range of activities for all ages. Program areas include youth camps, after-school enrichment, STEM, arts, sports, senior fitness, social programs, and activities for people with diverse abilities and different age groups.

Nonprofits, community groups, educational institutions, and private providers are invited to submit a Class & Camp Contractor Interest Form. Community members with specific skills or talents can also express interest in leading classes or activities.
