On November 1, 2025, Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s deputies stopped five juveniles and one adult near the 6500-block of Del Playa Drive in Isla Vista for violating the county’s nighttime curfew. During the stop, a 16-year-old male agreed to a search. Deputies found several fixed-blade knives in his backpack and a loaded .357 magnum revolver in his pants pocket.
The revolver was reported stolen from Arizona. The 16-year-old was arrested and taken to Juvenile Hall. The other juveniles were cited for curfew violations and released to their parents. The report did not specify the adult’s involvement…
