Sheriff’s Office Reports on Halloween Weekend Activity and Enforcement in Isla Vista

The Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office released a summary of law enforcement activity in Isla Vista during Halloween and the weekend before. Many people celebrated early, from October 24 to 26, to avoid festival restrictions. This led to large crowds. Law enforcement agencies, including the University of California Police Department and the County Fire Department, worked together to maintain safety and respond to incidents involving alcohol and public disturbances.

From October 24 to 26, deputies made 17 arrests and issued 80 citations. From October 31 to November 2, there was 1 arrest and 11 citations.
