Vista Del Mar project in midtown gets 1-year extension from Ventura

Ventura has extended a preliminary agreement with KB Home to build 215 housing units in midtown. The original agreement, which was set to expire at the end of the year, detailed guidelines on affordable housing, public improvements, community engagement and other requirements for the Vista Del Mar project.

The city council voted 6-1 on Nov. 4 to approve a one-year extension of the agreement. The project on 15.2 acres at 2325 Vista Del Mar Drive still needs approval from the planning commission, the city council and the California Coastal Commission.
