An injured hiker was airlifted from Tangerine Falls to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital on Friday, November 28.
At 1:03 p.m., crews from Santa Barbara County Search & Rescue (SBCSAR), Santa Barbara County Fire, Montecito Fire, and Santa Barbara City Fire responded to the call of an injury near the Gibraltar Road and Tangerine Falls area.
A mother and daughter were hiking when the mother slipped on a rock and sustained a lower-leg and ankle injury, according to SBCSAR.
Ground teams hiked in to make patient contact, assess the injury, and provide care. Santa Barbara County Air Support helicopter unit also arrived on the scene and was able to make the first contact with the hikers…
