A pickup truck rolled over along southbound Highway 101 between Refugio and El Capitán State Beaches on Tuesday evening, December 23.
The truck came to rest next to the railroad tracks, around 8:06 p.m., according to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department.
Firefighters said the solo occupant, an adult male driver, was trapped in the wreckage and required approximately 30 minutes of extrication using hydraulic tools (the “jaws of life”).
