Eighty tons of snow will sparkle at Santa Barbara Zoo’s ‘Snow Leopard Festival’

THOSE REGAL RED-TILED ROOFS… lend Santa Barbara much of their visual flair, but if you had to land on another hue that adds oomph to the American Riviera, you just might alight upon “blue,” the color of the sky. If you were feeling especially poetic, you might even break out an “azure,” for Santa Barbara, brilliant blue skies, and sunshine are a rather glorious grouping. But it may surprise you to learn that snow, like a lot of snow, is occasionally a feature in the blue-hued, beam-filled spot, at least when a certain celebration leaps into Santa Barbara Zoo.
