Valentine’s Day was a day I used to ignore. I hated the crowds, the expectations, and the stress of finding the perfect gift for someone special. However, once I met my husband, that all changed. He always finds a way to make this day unforgettable and to make me feel like a queen. He often does this by booking a unique experience for us to enjoy together.
At the top of my list this year is the Wine and Chocolate Walking Tour in Downtown Santa Barbara. I’m a foodie and a chocolate lover and this wine and chocolate tour in Southern California involves a few of my favorite things. Wear your best walking shoes and come ready to try something new because, for three hours, your guide will take you to two boutique tasting rooms where you’ll sip wine and sample artisanal chocolates. It’s an afternoon where you may just find your new favorite Valentine’s Day treat.
You’ll begin this adventure by meeting on State Street in Downtown Santa Barbara. With your group, you’ll have a knowledgeable guide who will lead you through La Arcada as well as the Santa Barbara County Courthouse. As you walk, you’ll learn more about the history of Santa Barbara and the surrounding area, and, of course, capture some gorgeous views. I strongly recommend bringing a camera on this adventure.
Along your way, you’ll visit two tasting rooms where you’ll sip different types of wine and learn all about the history and fame of the wine industry in the area and some of its top winemakers.
Wine isn’t the only thing that will excite your taste buds on this adventure. You will also sample chocolates, a popular Valentine’s Day treat. And there is no need to worry about extra costs with the tastings. Both the wine and chocolate samples are included in this experience.
Your group will have no more than six travelers, creating a more intimate experience and allowing you to easily ask questions and get to know your guide. The tour is approximately 3.5 hours and is not wheelchair accessible. It begins at noon each day…
