Spectrum Sports Launches Bike the Coast Ventura

Spectrum Sports Management Inc., a recognized leader in endurance and sporting events in Southern California, has announced the expansion of its popular “rules of the road” bike tour with the launch of Bike the Coast Ventura. The event welcomes riders of all ages and experience levels, offering three course options: the Metric Century 65-mile ride, a 35-mile ride and the rider’s favorite 17-mile family ride. Bike the Coast Ventura will benefit the National MS Society and Bike MS, organizations dedicated to supporting those affected by multiple sclerosis through research, advocacy, and community programs. The event has been made possible with the support of Visit Ventura. Registration for the 2026 event is now open.

“We are beyond stoked to welcome Bike the Coast as they expand their tour to include our small beach town,” said Marlyss Auster, president and CEO of Visit Ventura. “I experienced the event in Oceanside, where it’s been thriving for more than a decade, and the energy from the riders was electric, pure joy on two wheels. Bringing that spirit to Ventura is more than a partnership; it’s what happens when two teams dream big and create something special. Adventure and the outdoors are in our DNA, making this the perfect fit. We can’t wait to showcase Ventura’s natural beauty, our vibrant community and a whole lot of heartfelt stoke.”

“Bike the Coast has been one of my favorite projects since we acquired it back in 2017. The emphasis on it being a leisure ride and not a race has made it into an event truly for all to enjoy, and gives participants the opportunity to explore some of the most scenic areas California has to offer,” said Mike Bone, president and CEO of Spectrum Sports Management, producer of Bike the Coast Ventura. “We can’t wait to introduce this community-centric event to Ventura, and couldn’t be more thankful for the Visit Ventura team, as they have been instrumental in helping us make this dream a reality.”

Participants of the Metric Century 65-Mile ride will enjoy a tour of the coastline with some hills in neighboring cities. The 35-mile and 17-mile ride will also highlight constant ocean views along their rules of the road routes. All courses are stocked with support and gear locations to ensure riders are provided opportunities to rest and nourish. Once participants wrap up their rides, they will get to celebrate their accomplishments at the free and open-to-the-public Finish Festival, featuring a lively atmosphere with an emphasis on community vendors…
