Storm brings down power poles, trees across the Central Coast

UPDATE (10 a.m.) – According to PG&E, 460 PG&E customers remained without power shortly before 10 a.m. Wednesday. A PG&E representative says strong winds and rain, along with lightning strikes, impacted equipment. —

UPDATE (728 a.m.) – By 7:28 a.m. Wednesday, power remained out in San Luis Obispo to around 190 PG&E customers in the area in and around a portion of South Street. The cause is a damaged power pole. Restoration is now expected by 4 p.m. Wednesday.
