Call for artists for Surfers Point sculpture
The City of Ventura is looking for a professional artist or artist team to design a permanent tiled sculpture for the Surfers Point Phase II Project. Applications are due by March 2, 2026 at 12:00 PM. More details and the application link are available on the city’s website.
The project is nearing completion, adding dunes, native plants, a buried cobble berm, a new multi-use path, parking improvements, public art, lighting, drainage upgrades, landscaping, and EV parking. The Surfers Point Managed Retreat – Phase II recently received the Robert L. Wiegel Coastal Project Award for Coastal Resilience and Environmental Stewardship.
