A three-vehicle collision reported at 8:40 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 24, is causing significant traffic on Highway 1 south of Orcutt, according to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department and the California Highway Patrol.
County Fire initially reported a multi-vehicle crash on Highway 1/SR-135 near Graciosa Road and advised that southbound lanes in the area are closed. CHP later clarified the location as northbound SR-135, just north of the “south Y” where Highway 1 and SR-135 split.
CHP dispatchers received reports that a Honda Accord had a tire blowout and struck the center divider. Two vehicles came to rest in the northbound center divider, while a black SUV stopped on the right shoulder.
