The City of Ventura is reminding residents about what can and cannot go into their bagged food waste for the Food Waste Recycling Program. All food leftovers are accepted, including meat and poultry (bones included), dairy, seafood, fruits and vegetables, coffee grounds, pasta, bread, and even spoiled food. Residents should securely tie their food waste bags and place them in the tan yard waste cart for composting.
Items that should not be included are plastic utensils, produce stickers, twist ties, rubber bands, pet……
