Santa Barbara will soon have wedding venues across the Funk Zone and other key commercial areas of the city.
During a meeting on March 19, 2026, the Santa Barbara Planning Commission unanimously passed a motion to allow wedding venues for the Funk Zone, specifically at the Beacon building at 25 East Mason Street.
Beacon Building Chosen for Wedding Venue
The applicant, a wedding venue company with around 80 locations nationwide, vetted the Beacon building and said it was an ideal location for their business model.
