Yet another very warm run of temperatures courtesy of a moderate offshore flow w2ill slowly weaken in to early next week. This means some patchy fog is expected to return and as is common when we transition back to a weak onshore flow, the fog will sit close to the ground with visibility issues possible. Overnight lows will be in the 50’s with a few areas seeing only low 60’s as the offshore winds continue to keep things warmer than normal. Highs on Monday will be cooler, but still remain above normal with most areas topping out in the upper 60’s and 70’s. A few areas could see 80’s depending on the last few breaths of offshore winds.
Looking ahead, more onshore flow and fog with cooler temperatures will be the weather story through mid week. We could see some gusty winds along the South Coast for both Tuesday and Wednesday during the overnight hours. The northerly winds would be strongest near Gaviota and weaken as you head more south east toward Santa Barbara. We will monitor this closely and inform…..
