Santa Barbara County Fire crews halted the spread of two vegetation fires along Aliso Canyon Road within about 30 minutes of each call Friday night and Saturday afternoon, with a combined burn of 11 acres.
The first fire was reported at 9:51 p.m. Friday about a mile south of Highway 166. Forward progress was stopped at approximately 10:21 p.m., and firefighters remained on scene for roughly two hours to mop up.
