215 Bath Street has been at the center of conflict between tenants and property owners for quite some time. The dispute between the two sides has resulted in a legal dispute about the treatment of tenants.
Corina Svacina, one of the original tenants, reminisced about the days before the strife. Before the new owners of the complex, 215 Bath Street LLC, bought the units, cleared them out, renovated and upped the prices.
“While living at 215 Bath the first few years of the old owners it was really great. No issues really, you would have maybe like a plumbing issue here and there,” Svacina said. “Once the new owners took over dirt started piling up, things started getting a lot messier and then maintenance requests started taking a lot longer to get things fixed up.”…
