SANTA BARBARA COUNTY, Calif. (KEYT) – The Camino Cascada cul-de-sac off Cathedral Oaks Road, just east of Goleta, was been shut down for a heavily-armed law enforcement response Thursday.
According to the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office, the public was asked to avoid the area and nearby Mountain View afterschool program was temporarily placed on hold as a precautionary measure.
Your News Channel reporter Patricia Martellotti interviewed a neighbor who shared that Sheriff’s deputies were heard repeatedly calling out the name “Anthony Lopez” during the operation.
Earlier this week, the Sheriff’s Office was searching the area of South Patterson and Overpass Road in Goleta after 40-year-old Anthony Torres Lopez Jr. allegedly fled the scene after crashing a black BMW into a law enforcement vehicle in the area…
