Man sentenced for domestic violence slashing in Sonoma County

(KRON) — A 43-year-old man who slashed a woman with a utility knife as she was driving the two in Windsor was sentenced to eight years in state prison on Thursday, the Sonoma County District Attorney’s Office announced.

Daniel Omrado-Gonzalez, also known as Daniel Tirado, was convicted by a jury of domestic violence with great bodily injury in connection with the Oct. 1, 2025, incident.

Prosecutors said Omrado-Gonzalez had confronted the woman inside a car in a grocery store parking lot just before 3 p.m. and “repeatedly threatened to kill her and slice her face.” He eventually slashed the victim’s leg with a knife, and the victim jumped from her moving car to escape, according to the DA’s office.
