Child suffers serious injuries after being struck by driver in Santa Rosa crosswalk

A 9-year-old boy suffered “significant injuries” Tuesday night after he was struck by a driver in a Santa Rosa crosswalk, officials said.

Santa Rosa police said they received several 911 calls around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday about a child being struck as he attempted to cross the street on the 900 block of Yulupa Avenue.

The child was struck by the driver of a Ford Mustang, police said. The vehicle was driven by a 41-year-old Santa Rosa resident, who was not immediately identified. The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators, police said…
